- December 2009: Contacted home study agency.
- December 30, 2009: Submitted background check documents to social worker.
- January 8, 2010: Submitted application to agency and passport applications.
- January 14, 2010: Received packet from agency.
- January 17, 2010: Received expedited passports.
- January 23, 2010: 6 Year Anniversary!
- January 28, 2010: Home study!
- February 1, 2010: Completed 1/2 of online courses/quizzes. Also, received first draft of home study report.
- February 2, 2010: Switched adoption agencies. Excited to work with All God’s Children International (AGCI).
- February 9, 2010: Submitted full application to AGCI.
- February 10, 2010: Spoke with representative from AGCI. Was told our application was approved pending submission of our financial worksheet and letter from our doctor.
- February 12, 2010: Submitted financial worksheet. Was told by our doctor that the letter is in the mail!
- March 22, 2010: Submitted fingerprints to the FBI.
- May 27, 2010: Federal Background Check results came back. They were negative of course.
- June 23, 2010: Mailed in completed dossier to AGCI.
- June 25,2010: Was told by AGCI that 1 dossier document needs to be revised.
- June 29,2010: Received our first set of numbers!!! 44 for a boy, 42 for a sibling group.
- July 14, 2010: New Numbers!!! 44 for a boy, 41 for a sibling group.
- August 6, 2010: New Numbers!!! 42 for a boy, 40 for a sibling group.
- August 28, 2010: Mailed off USCIS paperwork.
- September 15, 2010: New Numbers!!! 41 for a boy, 39 for a sibling group.
- October 6, 2010: New Numbers! 36 for a boy, 37 for a sibling group.
- October 12, 2010: Fingerprint appointment at USCIS.
- November 5, 2010: New Numbers!!! 24 for a boy, 27 for a sibling group.
- December 8, 2010: New Numbers!!! 24 for a boy, 21 for a sibling group.
- January 6, 2011: New Numbers!!! 21 for a boy, 16 for a sibling group.
- January 15, 2011: Attended a local Ethiopian Christmas party! Met some great people, enjoyed Ethiopian food, and watched cultural dancing.
- February 7, 2011: New Numbers!!! 21 for a boy, 16 for a sibling group.
- March 15, 2011: New Numbers!!! 16 for a boy, 14 for a sibling group.
- April 11, 2011: New Numbers!!! 11 for a boy, 11 for a sibling group.
- May 11, 2011: New Numbers!!! 10 for a boy, 8 for a sibling group.
- June 10, 2011: New Numbers!!! 7 for a boy, 8 for a sibling group.
- June 28, 2011: SIBLING REFERRAL!!! A one month old boy and a three year old girl!!!
- July 22, 2011: Court date announcement – October 17th, 2011.
- October 15, 2011: First day meeting our kids at Hannah’s Hope Orphanage!!!
- October 17, 2011: Appeared in court and passed!!!
- November 17, 2011: US Embassy Clearance!!!
- November 26, 2011: Leave for Ethiopia (trip #2)
- November 27, 2011: Gotcha Day!!!
- November 28, 2011: US Embassy Appointment
- December 1, 2011: Arrive home with Abriha and Axum Tariku!!!
