Adoption Puzzle Fundraiser
How You Can Help
After people ask, “How long will it take to adopt?” the next question is always, “How much does it cost?”
Adoption Costs:
- Adoption fees (agency) – $28,000
- 2 trips to Ethiopia (2 people, 3 on final return) – total ~$10,500
- 10 hotel nights in Ethiopia– ~100 per night total ~ $1,000
- Living expenses in Ethiopia (food, transportation, etc.) – $500
- Other (homestudy, medical review, etc.) – $5,000
Approximate Total – $45,000
Luckily, we will get some of that money back through the Federal Adoption Tax Credit if we complete the adoption before the end of 2011.
Donations: One of our sisters approached us recently about an idea to coordinate a puzzle fundraiser. Since then, we have had other family members express interest in helping out. We are touched by the generosity and willingness to assist. In order to help fund the adoption we are selling puzzle piece sponsorships to a 1,000 piece puzzle of an African scene. You can help by:
- Sponsoring a puzzle piece for $10
- Sponsor multiple pieces at $10 ea
- Donate whatever amount you want
